The public transportation system in Taipei is getting complicated; passengers are growing accustomed to an ever-improving level of service, so rail operators face constant pressure to improve their operational availability, reliability, safety and service quality, embracing the most vital and fundamental element: fresh air. Remotely controlled by central control room, the ventilation system in every station provides the passengers in underground tunnels fresh air with proper temperature.
Thus, it is critical to ensure the monitor and control of ventilation system is working perfectly in every second. The project requested a network capable of keeping the communication between control room and ventilation system and receive early warnings of systems malfunctions.

JetBox 5630Gf series Industrial secure VPN routing computer has chosen for this project, it is able to monitor the status of multiple digital bit streams synchronously, when the one of the SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) optical fiber system is failed, JetBox 5630 series will switch to the accurate SDH system automatically to communication with traffic-monitoring control center. If both SDH-a and SDH-b are not working properly, ADSL can be a back-up system. It ensures the reliability of network connection during operation.
